It's been an active weekend Chez King. We went to see Bohemian Rhapsody at a open air event and I managed to stick in a few hours of biking and swimming.
As part of me giving a bit back to society after decades of being a nasty 'City Banker' I now like to torture various friends with the legs of triathlon. I created the Kettering Seals in 2017 to attract middle aged blokes with a penchant for neoprene to come and splosh about with me in lakes.
I used to try and go to the local pool but after continually having to try and swim through ladies water aerobics classes (think graceful swimming hippos) I gave up and now only swim in lakes.
I like to think of open water swimming as being very like the markets (I have just realised that I am beginning to sound more and more like Swiss Tony from the fast show). You think you are steadily making your way to where you want to go and thrash your way head down for several minutes and then look up to find you are completely going in a different direction.
Here you can see what I thought was an out an back swim today. I think the key point to this is that like markets you should always check your direction (performance) regularly make the adjustments you need and then hopefully you won't miss your targets.
The other takeaway from this morning is that I am rubbish at backward somersaults off jetties. I think every 50 year old should be able to do this just to show off to their kids. It is a work in progress.
Anyway Sunday is not a day for lengthy financial conversation.
Best for the week ahead and watch out for Orange Swan curveballs.
