Dear Reader,

As a child I was a massive fan of Roald Dahl. His stories used to fill me with glee. Not every hero in them was good.

The news headlines rushing at us over the last 48 hours again show why sometimes it is worth tuning out even for a few hours. I left my phone on the roof of my car Sunday in the pouring rain and lost contact with the world for 48 hours until I got a replacement. The enforced media blackout was actually refreshing. (putting a soggy iphone in a bag of rice doesnt work in case this ever happens to you).

Imagine my shock this morning when I discovered the Democrats have finally found something to try and impeach The Orange Swan on.  You couldn't make it up. The EX VP's son being paid 50k a month in Ukraine under investigation by a Ukrainian prosecutor after personal issues with rental cars crack cocaine and a dead brother's ex wife. And they want to impeach Trump for asking the new Ukrainian PM to check on why the prosecutor got fired after Biden threatened  to hold back 1 billion dollars in aid unless the prosecutor was fired.

As Gary Jules called it... Its a Mad World.

All around me are familiar faces
Worn out places, worn out faces
Bright and early for their daily races
Going nowhere, going nowhere
Their tears are filling up their glasses
No expression, no expression
Hide my head, I want to drown my sorrow
No tomorrow, no tomorrow

And I find it kinda funny, I find it kinda sad
The dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had
I find it hard to tell you, I find it hard to take
When people run in circles it's a very very
Mad world, mad world.

Maybe I should just drop my new phone in another bucket of water.

Don
